How much does it cost?
The price depends on the quantity and ease of application and the product is chosen. However, it costs a fraction of replacing the windows with reflective or tinted glass. It also costs much less than any shading device on the market today.
 
Where is it applied – Inside or Outside?
Under normal circumstances inside. However special films are designed for outside where access to inside is a problem.

 

What is the life expectancy of the film?
Between 8 to 20 years, depending on the type of film chosen. 

 

Does the film affect my view ?
No – it allows for perfect optic vision, based on the film you select except for translucent or sand blast film.

 

How do I clean my windows ?
Just like you always do.

 

How long is the guarantee?
Internal installations guaranteed from 3 to 15 years
External installations from 1 to 3 years

Will window film stop all interior fading?
No, window film will not completely eliminate fading. It will prolong the fading process.
 
Will the film stop glare on computer screens?
Yes, the Dark Grey Non Reflective will stop the glare.
 
Will the film reduce the heat?
Based on the film chosen, a properly selected film offers tremendous heat reduction properties.

 

Will the film crack my glass?
With a properly selected film, with the help of your Klingshield consultant, your windows are safe.

 

Will Klingshield window film affect my plants?
In most cases if a house plant is already receiving adequate light, the use of window film will not harm it.

 

Does Window Film cut down on light?
Although different window films can reduce different amounts of light transmitted through a window, it is not as much as one would perceive.

 

Do window films provide extra protection if a window is broken?
All window films offer shatter resistance properties. However, our safety films are designed for exactly that and offer superior impact resistance as well.

 

How are films installed?
By our professional in-house installers or with the help of a DIY manual for those handymen or women! 

 

What are the primary benefits of different window films?

What is meant by curing or drying period and how long does it take? 
From 3 days to 3 weeks for the film to dry out properly, depending on the type of film and how much sunlight the window gets.

Will film save on my Eskom Bills?
Absolutely! Depending on usage of air-conditioning units
 
Can I remove the film at a later stage without scratching my glass?
No problem, with the right tools and the right removal instructions.
